CED 7936 QUALITATIVE DATA ANALYSIS

Advanced study of qualitative research design and methodology with an emphasis on selecting and applying appropriate methodology for data collection, analysis, and reporting using narrative, phenomenological, grounded theories, ethnography, and case study. Researcher roles and experiences, selection of site and participants, techniques of data analysis, types of coding and interpretation are addressed. Procedures in developing the dissertation proposal and defense, as well as conference proposals and journal articles are examined. Required: Matriculation in Doctoral Program and CED 7930
