CDD 5245 SIGN LANGUAGE F/T SLP I

basic signed communications are developed and practiced for use in therapeutic settings with clients whoa are language delayed, non-verbal or low verbal. Emphasis is on how to use signs and visual/manual language to facilitate oral/aural language in this eight week basic course. NB: In order to ensure full class participation, any students with a disabling condition requiring special accomodations (e.g recording devices, adaptive equipment, note-taking, alternative test-taking procedures or interpreters) is strongly encouraged to contact the professor at the begining of the course. semester hour: 1.5 PR: None Limitation on enrolment: 12 GE option: Elective for Speech Path majors
