This course offers an extensive review of gross anatomy and associated medical terminology and provides a study of the associated pathophysiology and diseases, etiology, signs and symptoms, surgical treatment, and preventative medicine for each system.

IV. Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Demonstrate entry-level cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains necessary for entry into the field of surgical technology.
  • Demonstrate compliance with the criteria set forth in the most current standards and guidelines for an accredited educational program in surgical technology.
