MLTE 250 Capstone Seminar and Exam Review
This course provides a cumulative review of medical laboratory procedures and theoretical concepts from all phases of laboratory testing. Emphasis is placed on recall and application of theory, correlation, and evaluation of all areas of laboratory science. Upon completion, students should be prepared for national certification examinations. Students will apply their technical knowledge to laboratory case studies and to review major areas of the MLT curriculum with an emphasis on critical thinking skills. Students will have access to practice examination in preparation for certification examinations.

III. Catalog Course Description
This course provides a cumulative review of medical laboratory procedures and theoretical concepts from all phases of laboratory testing. IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Discussion of selected topics in hematology, medical chemistry, immunology, transfusion medicine, microbiology, parasitology, mycology, and virology, topics in urinalysis and body fluid analysis, lab operations and phlebotomy and waived testing.
- Demonstrate the ability to recall or recognize previously learned knowledge.
- Construct and write case studies that correlate patient history to laboratory findings/data.
- Self-evaluation critique of internship experiences.
- Generate plan to improve student’s potential success in passing national certification exams and gaining employment or professional
