ISMT 120 Industrial Tools & Equipment
Industrial Tools and Equipment will provide the student with the declarative and demonstrative knowledge required to safely inspect, maintain, and operate hand tools, power tools, measurement tools, torque tools, fasteners (nuts and bolts), and specialty tools that are commonly used in the efforts to maintain, inspect, install, and repair industrial systems.

Industrial Tools and Equipment will provide the student with the declarative and demonstrative knowledge required to safely inspect, maintain, and operate hand tools, power tools, measurement tools, torque tools, fasteners (nuts and bolts), and specialty tools that are commonly used in the efforts to maintain, inspect, install, and repair industrial systems.
IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Demonstrate the proper use of various hand and power tools and employ them in practical applications
- Identify various specialty tools relative to specific renewable industrial use
- Recognize the safety procedures for specific tool uses and the associated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Safely operate an oxy-acetylene torch and associated tips
