Sustainability Recognition
The College of Southern Idaho recognizes the environmental, economic, and workforce need for education regarding sustainable practices. Students who would like to gain a deeper understanding of sustainability, and receive recognition for that understanding, may pursue a course of study designed to enhance their major study area. To qualify for sustainability recognition, a student must:
- Participate in the CSI Sustainability Council for at least one year
- Take a minimum of 12 credits covering each branch of sustainability (environment, equity, economics) from the following options:
- Complete a portfolio (reviewed by the Sustainability Council) that demonstrates an understanding of sustainability through artifacts from designated courses taken
Students who are awarded sustainability recognition can be identified by green cords at graduation.
