III. Catalog Course Description
A technical course covering the principles of radiology including radiological techniques, animal positioning, darkroom procedures and radiation safety. Alternative imaging methods including ultrasound will be discussed.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Identify and implement proper safety measures regarding radiation exposure.
- Position common species (canine, feline, equine and exotics) for radiographs.
- Apply the principles of radiology to real life situations.
- Describe the principles of radiology and be able to real life situations.
- Produce diagnostic radiographs through both digital, manual and hand processing.
- Perform diagnostic studies including contrast media and ultrasound.
- Complete AVMA Essential Skills: N104, I1-17.
