Course acquaints students with proper restraint methods for large, small, and exotic animal species. Students learn technical skills involved in husbandry, examination, and medical documentation for sick animals. - Describe the need for and demonstrate how to safely restraint multiple animal species.
- Recognize and describe the techniques used in patient assessment, intervention and documentation.
- Describe and demonstrate proficiency in physical examination, SOAP composition and MAOR construction.
- Understand and demonstrate proficiency exotic and orphaned animal care.
- Complete AVMA Essential Skills: N3-22, LAP1-3, LAP21, EXO1, EXO10.
