This is an introductory theory course covering manual lathe, mill machines and related equipment found in a machine shop. This course develops intellectual knowledge through classroom instruction. Topics include safety practices, lathe operation, milling machine operation, set up, tooling, feeds and speeds, cutting, drilling, tapping, filing, knurling, threading, measuring and use of other associated machine shop tools.
