Landscape Maintenance is an exploration of business opportunities and application of landscaping skills as well as discovery and use of many industry hand and power tools. Students will address environmental management issues as well as customer satisfaction goals present in the maintenance profession while practicing hands-on maintenance tasks.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Demonstrate safe operation of hand and power tools used in horticulture industry.
- Identify, maintain and describe use of various maintenance tools.
- Demonstrate proper pruning practices on a variety of trees and shrubs.
- Identify components of an irrigation system, diagnose problems and make adjustments.
- Diagnose turf diseases and deficiencies and recommend proper care.
- Describe and demonstrate proper installation of trees, shrubs and flowers.
- Identify common pests and recommend control.
- Estimate costs of installation and maintenance of a property.
