This course covers particle and rigid body kinematics and kinetics, work/energy, impulse/momentum concepts, and a combined scalar/vector approach. Prerequisite: ENGI 210 or the equivalent.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Apply Newton’s Laws to rectilinear and curvilinear motion
  • Solve kinetic and kinematic problems for both particle and rigid body motion
  • Successfully answer questions on the dynamic section of the EIT (Engineer in Training) exam
