The Hospitality Management Program is a technical program resulting in an Associate of Applied Science. The program prepares students for leadership roles and successful careers in the rapidly expanding field of hospitality management. The program introduces students to the basic philosophies of the hospitality industry and gives a general understanding of the necessary procedures. Upon successful completion of the Hospitality Management program, a student will be able to:

1. To educate and train a person who can immediately perform at the entry level in the professional work environment of the Hospitality Industry.

2. To use methods, materials, equipment and technology that replicates current industry standards.

3. Understand the principals and practices of foodservice sanitation and safety, nutrition and supervisory management.

4. Synthesize and evaluate core concepts in the areas of hospitality accounting, finance, Human Resource, Marketing, Operations and Customer Service.

5. Demonstrate the ability to read, listen, and clearly express themselves using written, oral, and quantitative methods to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, customers and members of the community.
