The Computer Science Program is an academic transfer program for students intending to complete a bachelor’s degree in computer science at a four-year university. The curriculum emphasizes computer science, mathematics, and general education core courses.

Completion of the following courses is designed to result in an Associate’s degree in computer science and meets the general education requirements at all Idaho public universities. Course selection should be coordinated to meet the requirements for your intended transfer institution.

Upon successful completion of the Computer Science program, a student will be able to: 

  1. An ability to apply knowledge of computing, mathematical and scientific reasoning to a variety of computational problems while analyzing and developing solutions.
  2. An ability to develop proficiency in the practice of computing by applying the fundamental principles and methods of Computer Science to a wide range of applications and Design.
  3. An ability to use problem-solving skills and the knowledge of computer science to solve real problems by using current techniques, skills and tools necessary for computing practice.
  4. An ability to think critically and creatively, both independently and with others while working and communicating effectively on teams both orally and in writing to design and implement solutions to computational problems
