Chemistry Major (B.S.)
The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry major is designed for students with a serious interest in a rigorous and challenging program, especially for those students who plan to continue to medical, dental and veterinary school and master's and Ph.D. programs.
Major Requirements
67-69 credits
Chemistry Core (28 credits)
Complete the following courses and any associated labs.
Mathematics and Physics Support Courses (20 credits)
Chemistry Electives (6-8 credits)
Complete two of the following courses and any associated labs (6-8 credits). Students completing CHEM-4020 Biochemistry are required to complete CHEM-4020L Biochemistry Laboratory.
Science and Mathematics Electives (8 credits)
Complete two of the following courses and any associated labs.
Professional and Research Experience (4 credits)
Complete 4 credits from the following courses. Internships must be approved by the Chemistry Department chair.
Capstone (1 credit)
