BUS-370 Social Entrepreneurship
This course provides an overview of how to set up an organization to include social responsibility. The history of social entrepreneurship in nonprofit organizations, socially minded corporations, and for-profit firms with a social focus are covered. Social entrepreneurial concepts and theories are applied with hands-on projects. Students will work on how to set up various entrepreneurial projects using business tools to address societal issues related to education, health care, poverty, gender equality, socioeconomic development, animal welfare, etc.
Prerequisite
BUS-100 and
ECN-200 must be completed prior to registering for this course.
