Pre-Medicine Specialization

Completion of this specialization, along with introductory Biology and Chemistry sequences will fulfill the core medical school science prerequisites.  However, each school has its own list of requirements and it is critical that students check the prerequisite courses for medical schools of interest.  It is in a student's best interest to take additional upper division credits in biology.  In addition, the MCAT draws on information from Psychology and Sociology. In addition to science courses, students should take a full year of writing-focused courses (FYS + one ENG course) along with social sciences, math, bioethics and cultural diversity courses.
