SUR 111 Periop Patient Care
This course provides the surgical technology student the theoretical knowledge required to function in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative role. Topics include asepsis, disinfection and sterilization, physical environment, instrumentation, equipment, perioperative patient care, and perioperative case management. Upon completion, students should be able to apply the principles and practices of the perioperative team member to the operative environment.
