LIS 520M Education & Optimism in Rwanda
Students will travel to Rwanda to work with libraries and archives in schools. The schools are all secondary schools with students ranging from the equivalence of 6th-grade to 12th-grade. The work includes developing the fiction and non-academic reading materials, eastablishing an organizational schema for the materials, collaborating with school administration to create work spaces, and training the supervisor and students in the maintenance of the library and the materials.
