COMM 403 Principles of Communication Law

This course examines the historical development of communications-related law and the interlocking technological, economic, political, and social issues affecting policies that guide and regulate the nation's media and communications systems. Emphases include First Amendment and privacy law and the Federal Communications Commission's regulation of interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable.
