IT580 Technology Leadership

Centers around the leadership knowledge and skills necessary for a chief information officer (CIO) or equivalent. Topics include strategic thinking, consulting, budget formulation, and effective management and leadership. In case studies and role-playing exercises, students practice leadership skills, such as influence- and relationship-building. Students use analysis techniques, questioning skills to gather information, negotiation and influencing skills to make decisions, and communication skills to present the final proposal at an executive level.
