WIND 230 Wind Turbine Simulation

Wind Turbine Simulation provides the learner with the knowledge and experience of operating a commercial wind turbine.  Combining generator, hub, and nacelle operation students will learn how to use wind turbine software to generate production reports, monitor operating condition, and manipulate wind turbines from remote/separate locations.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Operate all 3 systems of a wind turbine generator as a single unit
  • Collect and analyze system data
  • Interpret collected data and employ system repairs and/or improvements allowing for maximum system efficiency
