Program Overview:
The Outdoor Recreation Leadership Program is designed for students who would like to develop the skills to lead others in challenging environments. Students will gain technical skills in wilderness travel, whitewater boating, rock climbing, and snow travel. The courses in this program are primarily field based with hand-on opportunities for learning. Students will get ample time meeting with and learning from professionals in the outdoor industry. Once they complete the program, students will be able to start careers in the guiding industry, wilderness therapy, winter recreation, wildland fire, trail crews, and outdoor education.
