SURT 117 Anesthesia

This course offers a comprehensive study of peri-anesthesia methods, agents, and techniques used in the surgical settings including: local, regional and general anesthetic agents.  Patient monitoring is discussed and demonstrated including normal patient values. Blood replacement and IV fluids are researched.  Anesthesia complications including bronchospasm, anaphylaxis, transfusion reaction, laryngospasm, cardiac arrest and malignant hyperthermia are discussed. Airway management,respiratory emergencies, allergic reactions, and cardiac arrest are discussed.  CPR re-certification is offered at the end of the course.

III. Catalog Course Description
