This course is designed to train the student to the professional qualification level of Fire Fighter 1 as outlined in NFPA 1001 Professional Qualifications Standard. Topics include equipment operations and maintenance, principles of firefighting, strategies and tactics, fire extinguishment methods, fire service operations, safety, personal protective equipment, hazardous materials and fire rescue operations.
