CISG 223 Advanced Intership

Students will complete an advanced project under the direction of IT faculty. The activity will be negotiated and graded by contract. The nature of the project will include elements from each facet of the student’s program curriculum and will be evaluated by a committee of IT faculty. This project involves research and appropriate documentation. As part of this course, students will take a Technical Skill Assessment to demonstrate program proficiency.

The internship is an integral part of the curriculum in which the student gains practical experience in the coursework taught in the Digital Media program. The internship training provides the student an opportunity to perform various computer procedures under supervision. A minimum of 96 hours on the job must be completed prior to the student receiving his/her certificate. Students must also complete a printed portfolio which will be a compilation of current semester artwork, a current resume, and other material as assigned by the instructor.
