III. Catalog Course Description

The art of finishing for cabinets, furniture, doors, trim etc. Students will learn the use of abrasives and sanding machines, grits to speed. Students will demonstrate use of sanding techniques, and several finishes on sample task pieces as well as project cabinets, doors etc

IV. Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • By dealing with each student, or each finishing group we will have formative evaluations, by asking and answering questions on a one on one basis, and reinstructing when needed to complete each task and goal.
  • And a final evaluation will be given on the class and the student and instructor when course is completed.
  • Then we can assess the entire class to make changes and or improvements to this education in construction.
