III. Catalog Course Description

This course provides an independent specialization in the medium of photography. Students are expected to have a photography background, or have experience in studio photography course(s). In this course, students will explore various creative topics through understood photographic tools, techniques and oral critique.

 

IV. Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Exhibit a foundation in the visual communication language; explain what a photograph is, how to read a photograph and how to better execute informed and accomplished photographic works of art
  • Exhibit improved technical proficiency and visual literacy

Exploration of ideas through the photographic medium. Advanced digital and traditional technique demonstrations. Oral critique
