Program Overview:

The CSI Automotive Service Education program (ASEP) is designed to provide the technical and professional competency required for GM dealership and ACDelco service center employment. The curriculum is designed in conjunction with General Motors, ACDelco and the IAGMASEP organization. The program involves classroom and lab experience on GM vehicles as well as work experience in a GM dealership or ACDelco service center. Program Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the Automotive Service Education program, a student will be able to:

  1. Diagnose and repair engine mechanical concerns.
  2. Diagnose and repair automatic transmission concerns.
  3. Diagnose and repair manual drive train and axle concerns.
  4. Diagnose and repair suspension and steering concerns.
  5. Diagnose and repair brake system concerns.
  6. Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic concerns.
  7. Diagnose and repair heating and air conditioning concerns.
  8. Diagnose and repair engine performance concerns.
  9. Interact effectively with customers and colleagues.

Program Requirements for Admission:

  • Program Application Required
  • Take CSI Placement Exam scores to program adviser for interpretation, personal interview and program acceptance.
  • Secure and be employed by a sponsoring GM or ACDelco employer before the start of the program.
  • Pay first semester’s tuition and fees to secure a slot.
