HHP-343 Physiology of Exercise I

This course will focus on the physiological changes that are involved when a human exercises. Beginning with homeostasis, the course will progress from cellular metabolism through the primary organ systems that are involved in exercise; with particular emphasis on the structure and function of skeletal and cardiac muscle, the heart and vascular system, the respiratory system, and the neural innervations of those systems.

HHP-110 and HHP-110L or BIO-225 or BIO-374 must be completed prior to taking this course.

Corequisite

HHP-343L must be taken concurrently with this course.
