HIS-499T.4 Read Sem:Society & Culture/Modern Japan

This course is an advanced-level readings seminar. Students will read some of the more influential secondary literature on the social and cultural history of Japan from the Edo period through the early twentieth century. Students will be required to read at least one monograph each week and provide written and oral presentations on the readings. Prerequisites: Instructor permission
