BIO-316 Genetics

This course incorporates both classical and molecular approaches to study the structure and function of DNA, genes, chromosomes, the genome, and gene expression. Possible topics include, but not limited to, classical genetic concepts, oncogenes and cancer; cloning and gene therapy; genomics, sex determination and sex chromosomes, genetic screening, and population genetics. Prerequisites: BIO-201 or BIO-210, BIO-202, CHE-141, CHE-142 and Junior Standing
