MAT 304 Mathematics for Teachers III

This course is designed for pre-service teachers and is a continuation of MAT 201 and MAT 202. It covers selected topics in algebra (polynomials, quadratic equations, and systems of linear equations), the rectangular coordinate system, functions, graphs of linear and quadratic functions, the use of functions as models, linear inequalities, consumer mathematics. Applications of mathematics will be stressed. Additional topics may be introduced as time permits. Please note that a minimum grade of "C" is required in this course in order for a student to take higher level math courses for which this course is a prerequisite.
