Enroll in the 5-credit CMPM 297A, the 10-credit, CMPM 297B, or the 15-credit CMPM 297C.
This class introduces students to physiological processes governing cells and organs and covers mechanisms of physiological regulation and how their malfunction leads to disease. METX 41 is is required for the Public and Community Health concentration of the Global and Community Health B.S. and provides the foundation for a number of upper division classes related to health: Bio130 Physiology; METX 115 Environmental Health Science; METX135/METX135L Human anatomy; METX138 Molecular pathology; BIOL 117 Global health and neglected tropical diseases; PUBHLTH121 Intro to alternative and complementary medicine. METX41 has no pre-requisite, although Bio20A is recommended.
