Course Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

·       associate partial differential equations and dispersion relations with all the types of waves listed;

·       Students will be able to recognize situations that give rise to wave motion, and unstable motion, and how waves and instabilities are connected and

·       derive and state the motion resulting from each type of ocean wave.
