Southern Culture
This course explores the major qualities that makethe South a distinct region. Topics include music, politics, literature, art, religion, race relations, and the role of social class in historical and contemporary contexts. Upon completion, students should be able to identify the characteristics that distinguish Southernculture. This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA/ICAA as a generaleducation course in Humanities/Fine Arts.
