MUS 3343 ASSESSMENT AND REFLECTION IN K-12 MUSIC EDUCATION
This course explores meaningful, practical, and inclusive approaches to assessment in K–12 music education. Students will examine traditional and alternative assessment tools across general music, instrumental and vocal ensembles, as well as emerging contexts such as popular music and music technology. Emphasis is placed on student-centered, culturally responsive, and standards-based practices. Students will develop assessment strategies aligned with state and national learning standards, performance tasks, and reflective practices.
