Counseling, M.A.: School Counseling Option
Program Description
The Master of Arts in Counseling, 60-credit School Counseling Option, is CACREP and CAEP accredited and approved by the New Jersey Department of Education. It is designed to provide education, training and state certification in School Counseling. The program provides comprehensive training in both elementary and secondary school counseling, including a supervised practicum (under the supervision of a SAC) and two internships in a school setting (under the supervision of a certified school counselor).
Degree Requirements
- 60 credits
- All students conditionally admitted; following successful completion of core courses, faculty meet to assess whether the student will advance to full admission.
- Practicum and 2 internships
- CPCE (comprehensive examination)
