PAS 6140 CLINICAL SEMINAR FOUR

During the final clinical seminar course, students participate in board review and simulation activities to prepare for transition to clinical practice as a physician assistant. The intensive topical medicine review takes place during special seminars and presentations with further discussion in the small group setting. Activities with students in other health professions programs provide the physician assistant students with a global perspective of th team approach to healthcare. Assessment of student knowledge, skills and behavior provides an overall summative measurement to determine readiness for clinical practice. The evaluation methods may include a rigorous comprehensive e written and practical (OSCE) examinations, self-assessment and faculty appraisal of student learning outcomes and evidence of competency expectations to determine if the students that the board and specific knowledge, skills and behaviors expected of an entry-level physician assistant.
