III. Catalog Course Description
This course is a survey of microbial diversity, structures and function; principles of microbial metabolism, genetics, control, host-parasite relationships, immunology, medical microbiology, and applied aspects of microbiology.
IV. Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of and be able to discuss and/or demonstrate the learning outcomes in the following core concepts as described by the American Society for Microbiology: evolution, structure and function, information flow, exchange and storage, pathways and transformations of energy and matter, systems.
