Course provides a framework for best practice in website design. Students will learn the nature of usable websites, designing for aesthetic appeal, performing usability studies, information architecture, designing for accessibility, and addressing technical issues and constraints.

• This course is a support course in your endeavor to become a competent web designer. Emphasis is placed on design principles to gain an understanding of how to create and apply compliant and aesthetic web sites.

V. Topical Outline (Course Content)

Plan the structure and create the information architecture. Organize the content and layout for a web site. Add and format the text in the site. Work with graphics, rollovers, and tables. Create mockups of web sites. Build a final project web site. Understand the basics of using Adobe Fireworks & Dreamweaver.
