In this course students will develop proficiency using word processing software to create and format documents according to current business standards.

Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Students will develop competency in a word processing software program as an enabling skill.
- The student will use word processing to produce typical office and personal documents efficiently and correctly.
- Students will identify and correct errors in grammar and mechanics as it pertains to business documents.
- Students will improve keying speed and accuracy

Use templates to create business documents
Create tables, charts, and graphs to depict information
Demonstrate appropriate formatting and design to create business documents (i.e., letters, emails, memos, reports, and proposals)
Demonstrate competency in keyboarding with speed and accuracy
Draft, edit, and revise electronic and written documents
Create various desktop publications (e.g., newsletters, certificates, brochures, and flyers)
Use data to create mail merging with other software applications
