NURP 115 Medication Admnstrtn for PN*

This course will assist the practical nursing student in learning safe medication administration across the lifespan. Emphasis will be on developing nursing knowledge in the calculation, preparation, safe administration, and documentation of multiple forms of drugs. The legal, ethical, and safety principles of medication are included, as well as the roles and competencies of the practical nurse as they relate to medication administration such as injectables, intranvenous, oral, and other forms of parenteral drug delivery. This course includes both lecture and lab components. Co-requisite: NURP 115L.
