HEHP-2510 Coaching Methods

An elective course for students seeking a specialization in coaching or a major in exercise science. Topcs will include developing a knowledge base and application of principles of training, developing a coaching and training philosophy, writing and managing training logs, and planning short- and long-term objectives. Methods and style of coaching, how to train, and the physiological effects of training will also be covered, as will the evaluation of the processes involved in achieving performance objectives to enhance the appropriate physiological response to training/learning.
