CHE-301 Organic Chemistry I
A study of the aliphatic and aromatic compounds
of carbon. Study includes structure,
nomenclature, typical reaction of functional
groups, spectroscopy, structure reactivity
relationships, synthesis, and mechanisms of
reactions. Three hours of lecture weekly.
Prerequisites: CHE-142 and CHE-142L with a
mininum grade of C or equivalent
Corequisites: CHE-301L
Prerequisite
CHE-142 and CHE-142L must be completed with a grade of C or
better prior to registering for this course.
Corequisite
CHE-301L must be taken concurrently with this course.
