BIO-326 Coastal Marine Ecology
This course examines the ecology of coastal
marine ecosystems (salt marshes, coral reefs,
mangroves, sea grass beds, estuaries, barrier
islands) with an emphasis on the physical,
chemical, and biological organization of each
system. The course will also cover current
developments in coastal marine ecology, including
discussion of human impacts on coastal systems.
Lectures and an off-campus study component.
Venues include but not limited to: Florida,
Belize, the Caribbean, Hawaii.
Prequisites: BIO-203 or both ENV-260 and
BIO-202.
Corequisite: BIO-326L
