Athletics and Sports

Cleveland Community College competes in intercollegiate sports as a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The Yetis compete in Region 10 of the NJCAA in Division 2 for all sports. Currently, the Yetis field teams in men’s and women’s cross country, women’s softball and men’s baseball. In addition to recruited athletes, coaches hold tryouts for each sport in the Fall semester. In order to try out, students must be registered full-time and have a current physical.

Intramural sports are encouraged and are periodically provided for students by the Student Government Association. These may include basketball, softball, and volleyball. Lockers are located in the Student Activities Center. The gymnasium is available for College courses, organized College events, and general student use as posted.
