WL 101 Why Study Languages?

This course provides an introduction to intellectual processes and value systems related to language and language learning to explore the benefits of learning world languages, including cognitive, cultural, professional, and personal growth. Students will engage with various perspectives and practical applications to understand the significance of multilingualism in today's globalized world. This course counts towards the Arts & Humanities portion of the “Ways of Understanding” General Education Program and also fulfills 3 credits of the 6 credits required for the International Requirement in the General Education Program.
