ME 522 Elasticity and Plasticity
The fundamentals of the theory of elasticity and plasticity are studied. Elasticity topics include analysis of stress, strain, and stress-strain relations. Two-dimensional problems in elasticity are solved using both Airy and Prandtl stress functions. Plasticity topics include generalized yield criterion, isotropic and kinematic hardening models, and J2 flow theory.
