Pre-Optometry Specialization
Completion of this specialization, in addition to introductory biology and chemistry course sequences, will fulfill the core science requirements for optometry school; however, each school has its own list of requirements. Students should check the specific requirements for each school of interest. In addition, non-science courses, such as a year of writing-focused courses (FYS plus one English course), social sciences, a year of math, ethics, and cultural diversity, are recommended. Note that BIO-330 is highly recommended as a prerequisite for CHE-412 Biochemistry.
