ACCT 2220 SECURE ACCOUNTING II
This course provides students with analytical tools necessary to evaluate users' accounting information needs, and to design, implement, and maintain an accounting information system to support business processes and cycles and keep information secure. Topics and assignments will include the basic functions performed by accounting information systems; efficient transaction processing; provision of adequate internal controls to safeguard assets including data; preparation of information useful to decision making and implementation of the REA data model for each of the following: the revenue cycle; the expenditure cycle; the production cycle; the human resources management/payroll cycle; and the general ledger and reporting activities. Additional topics and assignments will cover the systems development process.
